Dead on Live 71-72
Note for Note Selections from Skull & Roses, Europe ’72, ACE, Garcia
Based on their unique approach of note for note renditions, Dead On Live has become nationally recognized as one of the standout acts on the scene today paying tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead.
For their debut performance at the historic Palace Theater, Dead On Live is proud to present the music from the beloved “live” era of 71 – 72. This show is a crowd favorite and features selections from “Skull and Roses”, Jerry’s 1st solo effort “Garcia”, the classic and revered “Europe 72” and more from Bob Weir’s 1st solo effort “Ace”. Songs such as “Wharf Rat”, “The Wheel”, “China Cat Sunflower/I Know You Rider” (In it’s entirety!) and more, all performed as they were recorded, all instruments and vocals, Dead On – Live!
Multi-instrumentalist, touring and recording veteran, Marc Muller (Shania Twain, Tommy Shaw, Bruce Springsteen) has brought a cast of world-class musicians together to present with much “deadication”, their truly unique, note-for-note offering paying tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead. DOL also remains true to The Dead’s heart and soul by featuring in every show plenty of good old Grateful jamming to get the kids to dance and shake their bones!
The October 11th performance of Dead on Live at 8:00 is being moved to UpStage, our more intimate live show setting.
