Jay and Ray
Jay and Ray were born to play. Their passion for music comes from music found in childhood memories and families that encouraged and inspired musical learning.Ray’s first word was guitar (says mom) and Jay’s mother, who was a teacher and single parent, encouraged him and was passionate about promoting music since he was a little boy. These roots motivated Jay and Ray to create music for everybody in 2015.
The vision of their teachings is to make learning music about joy. Whether a class, party or school event, Jay and Ray’s performances are energetic, silly and fun, rooted in play based learning. It is an exploration of rhythm, melody and movement. Both Jay and Ray are professional musicians and dads. They have individually been playing since high school, with a pedigree of touring the United States, playing gigs all around the world, and advanced degrees in childhood education centered around music. Their inspiration for the program came from teaching and playing music with their own children and wanting to create something that is fun for the parents as well.
