Connecticut Ballet's The Nutcracker
Connecticut Ballet’s annual production is a staple of holiday entertainment in our region.
Join Clara Stahlbaum as she travels with her Uncle Drosselmeyer through the Land of the Snowflakes to the Land of the Sweets and back! Along the way, she meets exciting characters danced by the professional corps de ballets and finally, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Her Cavalier danced by guest stars Unity Phelan and Adrian Danchig-Waring of New York City Ballet (Dec. 21) and Hee Seo and Sebastian Villarini-Velez of American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet (Dec. 22). Returning for the 2nd year to dance the role of Snow Queen is Pennsylvania Ballet principal dancer Oksana Maslova. NYCB soloists Phelan and Villarini-Velez and principal dancer Adrian Danchig-Waring will be making their Connecticut Ballet debuts with this engagement.
