Scripts on Tap is a reading of new works in development for both theatre and screen. Read by professional actors, these readings are the next step prior to mounting a full production of the work. Audience feedback becomes very important in the process.

September 9th: "Two Sneakers in a Bucket" by George Barnett
Julia (86) lives alone in her house despite her severe spinal stenosis. She refuses to move to the assisted living facility that her son begs her to go to, but she does agree to let a visiting nurse come to her house. When Julia’s nurse turns out to be a tough looking Hispanic man named Miguel (42), she does not believe he is a caregiver. After she threatens him with her oversized magnifying glass, she finally lets Miguel in. However, their relationship is strained until Rico takes Julia out for ice cream. They then develop such a strong relationship that Miguel risks legal jeopardy and helps stop Julia’s persistent pain by helping her peacefully end her life, in this drama.
