Event Details
This season celebrates America's 250th Birthday with music of American composers, plus music of the great old-world masters, including Dvořák and Rachmaninoff who helped create the American sound!
Orchestra Lumos performs not one but two piano concertos, both with the amazing young South Korean pianist Joyce Yang. The ever-popular Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini by Sergei Rachmaninoff, will be prefaced by the world premier of Jonathan Leshnoff’s piano concerto.
The program opens and closes with works by Antonin Dvořák, the great European master who left his mark on New York and our musical heritage through his residency in 1893-95.

Age Restrictions
Kids and students ages 4-22 are welcome to the Palace Series Sunday afternoon concerts for FREE with an accompanying paid adult ticket. (Unfortunately for Fantasia free children’s tickets are not available.) You know your child best – concerts can be as long as 2 hours which can be a long time for them to sit through a concert. We ask that you be mindful of the audience around you and should you need to leave the hall for a bit, you are welcome to do so.
